Good weather. Starting out sunny, 55 degrees. Trail dry at the start, patches of ice/snow at about 2600 ft., micro spikes required on this day to about 3000 where the "monorail" started to give way to posting, then we put on snow shoes all the way to Pico cabin. Spent a great night at the shelter, dinner, hanging out and a bunch of laughs with good friends. Two of three bagged Pico summit Sunday morning. Great way to spend a beautiful weekend In the great state of Vermont. Thanks to "Gadget" for putting us up I his Killington ski house Friday night! |
