Hiking Trail Conditions Report
Peaks
Peaks Dorset Peak, VT
Trails
Trails: Jeep roads, unnamed trails
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 10, 2010
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: From Dorset Hollow side, parked in a field on the left, 7/10s of a mile up the Jeep Road. With the rain there were a few large puddles, so 4WD not a bad idea. When the puddles are gone, cars with decent clearance shoudl be able to make it this far. Otherwise, there is room to park at the beginning of the Jeep road on the right.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Minor blowdowns
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Some deer flies, mosquitoes, and black flies, but not too bad.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Toyota Tacoma mud flap sitting on the Jeep road a few minutes past the cabin. Some sort of shirt hanging on a tree at the junction between the highpoint and the northern peak.

Comments
Comments: The Jeep road portions (ie most of the hike) were wet from the rain with some water running down them, but generally not too bad. Between the highpoint and the old firetower, however, there was a stretch with a lot of mud.
