Three Legger, and 2 Four Leggers did fine. Saw a number of furry friends along the trail and at the summit. |

Overcast day with limited views but a few "God rays" toward the end of the day toward the west. Chilly with wind on the observation tower. (Forgot to pull out the Kestrel so no real data.) Frustrating breakable crust most of the way. Broke trail on part of Futures. Real winter above 2500' with coated trees. Three inches of snow at the bottom and an estimated eight at the top. Everyone we saw had microspikes and did fine. Intended to start at Windsor Trail but found entry to State Park Auto Road first and didn't know the difference, but made the most of the day. Will go back to take Windsor Trail sometime. Good hiking day with the Scrambler. |
