Comments
Comments: Sugarbush South (Lincoln Peak) is still open this weekend, however Sugarbush North has been closed for a few weeks now. Since the summit of Mt. Ellen is a stone's throw from the top of the ski area, it's a good loophole Vermont 4K while the Long Trail is closed for spring mud season.

Ascended via the Lower FIS Trail (southern perimeter of ski area, no snowmaking, minimal trail junctions, etc.), which was mostly snow free and not too muddy.

Upper FIS headwall was still skiable, so I traversed around Rim Run to the summit (Long Trail is technically closed; the very short segment used had a few inches of recent, sticky snow).

Patchy man made snow on the main mountain, but generally avoidable. Still some natural in the shade/woods from the recent storm.
