| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
3 lots for usage. Winter lot (on left) about 0.3 miles before trailhead, lot at trailhead and lower lot (on right) about 100 yards before trailhead. Narrow and rough road for low clearance vehicles in last 100 yards. GMC caretakers would probably prefer usage of the 2 portapotties in the lower summer lot rather than their composting privy near start of trail. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock |

| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Just a minor rock hop coming down upper part of Monroe Tr. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
GMC recently dug out water bars on Monroe Tr.. Only one large blowdown on Dean Tr. with small route around; a non issue. Another Vt. trail with lots of quality trail work. Thanks GMC!! |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Several out enjoying the day. Actually water available throughout if using the large puddles on top. |
|
| Bugs: |
Not bad. Steady winds may have helped today. |

| Comments: |
Temps along with the breeze were near perfect at summit; hated to leave. Fitting the Long Trail into your loop (whichever side you hike from) makes this a much more enjoyable hike in my opinion over the out & backs. Mix of nicely dry trail or wet rocks from humidity which require some caution. |
