Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All are manageable... all at the shelters are good water sources... Just treat it as you gather it.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: None.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This section of the LT is tough for any dog. There are ladders coming down from Mad River Glen to Ap Gap and then there are more heading to Camel's Hump. I would say no to dogs on this section.
Bugs
Bugs: Yup... But after a while I was fine.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I did not notice anything.

Comments
Comments: This was 5 days on the LT. I went from Lincoln Gap to Camel's hump and ultimately had to leave trail because it was too tough on my dog. The trail itself is challenging but when you have a dog with you, it gets very tricky. As I stated above, there are a lot of ladders and some are very steep. The trail itself is rugged with scrambling and slick rocks from the rains we have had. So, my original plan was to go to Canada but I cut it short for these reasons. I have provided a link to my journal entries below.
