Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Large blowdown near top of Fire Tower Tr. probably gone next week. If looking for sign that says "Fire Tower Tr." at its junction you won't find it. Sign at this junction still says "Elmore Mountain Tr." near another sign that says "Keep Right". Have come across many hikers here who were looking for Fire Tower Tr. and continued on the Catamount Tr. (which coincides with park roads) only to turn around at some point realizing mistake.

Comments
Comments: VYCC has been planning a new trail connecting Nature Tr. to the Ridge Tr. at its northern end. Potential route flagged out and seemed like a 1\2 mile to 3\4 mile route. Was told by park staff that Jack and a crew were coming up next week to help and train VYCC in trail building. Lots of quality work done in past by VYCC and others. Current trails mostly dry with occaisional mud pits.
