Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water is low and scarce. Make sure you fill up when you can.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The AT is in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a good section for dogs. A couple of sections on private land so observe the rules and leash up. Bring water as it is scarce here.
Bugs
Bugs: Some flying around... Nothing spectacular. Just a few flies.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There is a white shirt hanging on one of the trees just after Mountain Meadows Lodge.

Comments
Comments: What a great section of the AT... Starts out really nice as a warm up. Great to walk by Kent Pond and then the bridge over the marsh land. Of course, then you work for your lunch and head up the switchbacks. Plus, the metal ladder before the shelter is always fun to navigate with a 4 legged friend in tow. Enjoyed this hike very much today... Perfect way to spend a late summer day. 35.6 miles left to VT for me.
