Dixie had a blast. Most water sources were covered in snow, so a bowl was helpful. Also, apologies to any skiers and boarders she chased down the mountain. |

I had no clue I was running into so much snow today. Probably 8 or more inches near the summit. Ended up tying my pants around my boot to keep the snow out since my gaiters were in Mass. Had I known I would have brought my skis too. Several people where skinning up and skiing down.
Trails up were relatively easy. Took green and blue trails up. Stuck to the unstable monorail created by skis and one other bare boot. Breathtaking views of late foliage/snow. Also liked climbing down in the snow. Easier on the knees and any snowballs I kicked kept Dixie occupied. |
