Comments
Comments: Probably last hike of the season. Started from the trailhead around noon, arrived at summit of Hunger just before 2pm. Patchy ice in the shade on the way up but not an issue. Cold and windy on the summit, but the sun felt good. On the way over to White Rock, the ice became a problem, and on the way down the Bob Kemp Trail, a real hazard. I had Ice Trekkers but opted not to use them because it was still very patchy, and the ice was so wet they would not have been much help. Micro Spikes would have been a better choice. Got back to the car around 4:30. A shout out to a couple I shared the trail with and their friendly Akita, Oso. Overall a great way to wrap up the season.
