Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost my 6 Moon Designs umbrella west of the Stony Brook shelter. I hope that someone finds and enjoys it as I have. I bought another one.

Comments
Comments: Crossed my 500th AT section hike mile hiking 17.7 miles between VT 12 & River Rd in Killington. First day hiked 13.3 from VT 12 to Stony Brook shelter. Second day hike 4.4 miles out. Had I to do it over again I would have hiked easterly from Killington and stayed at the 4 walled, doored, and windowed Lookout shelter. The Lookout had a platform on top with a nice view.

The leaves obscured the path but it was not a problem, though perhaps not recommended for inexperienced hikers. I noticed that I could tell when I was off the trail when it was softer on the feet. Even though it rained hard Saturday night, slipperiness wasn't a major problem as the trail wasn't too steep.
