| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Radar Road in good shape. The cylindrical tank that once completely blocked the road, now only about half blocks it. An ATV or Jeep could very likely get around it at this point. A guy and gal on a motorbike did, as it was coming down as I was ascending. |

A great revisit to the abandoned Lyndonville Air Force Station. Poked around the base area briefly, but really wanted to be up top. Joined a group of Lyndon State students on the hike up, and stuck around for sunset. Climbed the tallest tower, and the one furthest to the west for excellent views. Stairs a bit sketchy in both, not because they're unstable, but because the atmosphere of the place is creepy. Ladder climbs required for access to the top. Very windy atop the tall tower, but sunset was worth taking in. Jogged back down the road to my car, no need for a headlamp. Great end to a great day in the NEK! |
