| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Winter parking in effect |
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Blue, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable) |
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction, Snowshoes |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Ice bridges over most of the streams. The ones without are very tiny and easy to jump over |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Beyond the split of the bad weather bypass and the Monroe trail (0.6 miles from the hut clearing) up to the summit, the blazes were very hard to find at time. The drifting snow covered most of the tracks, so I was constantly looking for the path through the trees. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
No dog today. No good watering holes |
| Bugs: |
Hahahaha hahahaha, no |
| Lost and Found: |
Two boots at the trail head, looks like they’ve been there a while |

| Comments: |
Blustery on top, but still a great hike. Winter parking adds on 0.8 miles to this trip. Blazes good in the beginning, but we’re wanting in the last mile. Only met one other person. Used only Hillsounds as the freezing rain a couple of days ago. Though I did bring my snowshoes, I did not need them. |
