Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Long pond road is only cleared to just past the Bald Mountain trail. It is so muddy, I would advise against driving it, though I felt I was 'in for a penny, in for a pound.'

Comments
Comments: Road was lightly covered with spring snow. Trail was unbroken spring snow, but easy to follow. Snow was supportive and sticky. I headed up Haystack on the north trail, went down the south trail to where it becomes a road, and began to head for McSherry. Snowmobile tracks took me across the col and I bushwhacked up the peak to the recognized highpoint. I followed my track out to the south trail and then walked the trail and road back.
