Short hike, no one else out here. Great day to on the Vermont trails, sunny with views thru the trees. Just beyond the second clearing (about .6 up the trail) the jeep road is washed out for .2 and is hard to walk. I set a small cairn on the left. 50' behind the cairn is a herd path that parallels the washed out road and rejoins above the erosion. Much easier walking. Passing the cabin just beyond confirms right path. At 3600' a herd path leads up to the tower, summit is .5 straight ahead. Some signage just beyond points to summit and tower.
Though unmarked, direction is intuitive. Up and to the right. |
