Approach from 141 under power lines to the base of the steeps/anklebreakers is mostly clear of snow. Mud is several inches deep in places, I do not recommend low-cut trail shoes unless you are careful. The 'steeps' from about halfway up to the top are completely clear of snow, ice, and mud.
Once up at elevation and traversing the ridge there are several spots of spring snow and packed/mushy ice. Minimal traction devices may be helpful in these situations but not mandatory if you can trudge around obstacles. Mid cut boots recommended for this.
Expected rain this weekend will likely make water pool past ankle depth in the usual spots up top. |
