Water Crossing Notes: A couple of easy rock hops.

Trail Maintenance Notes: No blowdowns. Trail sign on tree at the Midstate terminus hard to read due to lichens or something growing on it.

Dog-Related Notes: Lots of dog tracks and calling cards, but no dogs today.

Comments
Comments: Microspikes were indispensable to ascend the blue ice on the trail. If you went off trail you could have barebooted it. After the summit, on the north side of Watatic, going over to Nutting Hill and then down State Line trail the snow was somewhat deeper and at times postholing was happening because the snow was softening late in the morning. Googleman survived the trip.
