Comments
Comments: My original plan (Greylock) fell through, so I drove east on MA 2, and when I saw this place, I did a U-turn and went back to it. I was impressed with it, notwithstanding the numerous debris and blowdowns on the second half of the trail. Grades were comfortable, the ridge walking was nice, and the views from Sunset Rock and Spruce Hill's summit were well worth it!

As far as trail conditions go, the trail is well packed to Sunset Rock. From there, the track gets progressively lighter- snow often drifted or was drifted onto it. Route finding could be tricky if this trail is completely unbroken.

A good day in the hills nonetheless!
