Comments
Comments: The trails were generally a mess today due to the spring melt. The Mountain House Trail was a mix of mud, spring snow, and wet rock. Pine Hill Trail was mostly spring snow and ice. Bicentennial Trail really took the cake- a good chunk of the section I hiked was a swamp- deep mud, standing/running water, and deep slush made it so. Give it another week or so, and most trails on this side of the mountain will probably be mostly down to the dirt.

Spring is coming fast in southern NE, and apparently it smacked Wachusett in the face!
