Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blowdowns on the Echo Lake Trail. One huge old pine a few hundred years from the trailhead required a bushwhack to get around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Ray enjoyed his first snow-free hike of the year! Met many well-behaved dogs. Note that within the Wachusett Mountain Reservation you're required to keep your dog on a leash. Not a big deal now, but the rangers do hand out tickets later in the summer when there's more traffic on the trails.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day to be out hiking! Trails were in great shape. No snow or ice left on the trails we traveled. The only trail that still had major water and mud on it was the Lower Link Trail. The others have dried out nicely. Couldn't resist getting out on top of a mountain on this clear day... could see the Boston skyline in the distance and the White's up North.

If you've been waiting for the snow and ice to disappear before getting out on the trails again, you're time has come!
