Parking/Access Road Notes: Free parking at Wallum Lake in Douglas State Forest, and at the BAptist church in West Sutton.

Water Crossing Notes: None to speak of. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Much of this section of the Trail goes through what are normally wetlands, but it has been a very drt summer. The blazing - yellow triangles - was quite clear.

Dog-Related Notes: Caboodle the poodle enjoyed the hike. We met a number of other friendly pooches.

Comments
Comments: First segment of an intended South-to-North traverse of the Midstate, with Dugan and rocksnrolls, and maybe others later. First 9.25 miles of trail through Douglas SF follwoed by 2.25 miles of rural road-walk, but scenic.
