I was surprised to find the Mason Street trailhead lot empty on a beatifically sunny early Saturday afternoon in August. The Meadow Trail is among the AMC Guide's Recommended, and deservedly so, but this apparently is off the beaten track. |

Fine, with ample TTOR blazing. The kiosk map shows a Viewpoint at the top of the Summit Trail, however, that isn't there - not even a peek. |
