Comments
Comments: This is a gem of the Berkshires, with historical, literary, and geological significance that you can read about at the kiosk or online. This time I did the loop in the clockwise direction, which meant going up the more gradual side and down the steeper side. I didn't realize that there is a hunting season from Nov. 29-Dec. 31 in here. Hopefully it takes place back behind the trail network; I didn't have any orange clothes but took a chance on a quiet Friday afternoon (yea for personal days). This place is close to many access points for the Appalachian Trail if you want to do more hiking while in the area.
