|Date of Hike:
||Friday, June 7, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||All water crossings were rock-hop-able except Thoreau River, where I had to wade (bridge is closed). Water came up to my thighs but was not too fast. May have been a better place to cross but I didn't look too hard. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A few blowdowns, no blazes on the Thoreau Falls trail but not too hard to follow. |
||No bugs all day until late evening along Thoreau Falls Trail, and then only a few. |
|Lost and Found:
||Hancock Notch to Thoreau Falls|
This was day 1 of a 3-day loop. Didn't see anyone all day after leaving the parking lot. Thoreau Falls trail was extremely beautiful and remote.
