Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Large lot off of Berry St. This is probably for the playing fields as well, so you may have a lot of company in the lot if things ever get back to normal.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Many (some may be vernal). Some were bridged. Some had logs dragged into place. And if this were intentional, it was damn clever: a stone wall runs right through a large shallow area.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Excellent. There is a beautiful boardwalk across a small beaver pond, complete with a great sign about wetlands and beavers. A few areas may need some bog boards. Thank you, Bay Circuit folks.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fun for dogs. All well-behaved with considerate owners today. Check for ticks.
Bugs: No ticks on us! In fact, I've seen very few this spring. Many of those small blue butterflies. Swarms of annoying but not biting (YET!) blackflies in some spots. make sure you bring your bug juice and/or bug net in weeks to come.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Very pretty walk. We did the section from the Cyr recycling area near Harold Parker State Forest to the border of the Boxford Town Forest. Great walk for Covid times; not many people (on a warm sunny spring afternoon!) and all good at distancing. Many beautiful flowers today, including Marsh Marigold in the first wet area you come to. Bay Circuit Trail includes walks through neighborhoods to get to the next wooded area. We waved to people and kept our distance, I think everyone was fine. Nice to hear the peepers on our return.
