Herd paths and white-blazed Metacomet-Monadnock and telephone lines all lead to/from the same general place from MA 141 steeply to summit of Mount Tom,
compass wouldn't hurt if uncertain/watch rusted out railings |

Steep climb up herd paths and/or Metacomet.
Loose talus predominates towards the top.
Yet another fine sunset today with the sun playing
peekaboo for a few minutes with a centrally-located cloud.
Strong prevailing winds put the bugs and hazy heat to shame
up on the cliffs. |
