 | Comments: |
Perfect spike conditions for a fast run up to the fire tower where there are two picnic tables. Well sheltered, gentle trail on this high point of the NE Trail. Great 360-degree views from the tower to Greylock, Monadnock and Pack/N. Pack, Watatic, Wachusett and more. Only saw four other parties all day today. For a reasonable length drive from Boston this makes a great 1200' hike to keep the legs somewhat toned for when COVID regulations end and we can return their cousins in the Whites. |
