Comments
Comments: The ski trail portion of the Mahanna Cobble Trail were muddy and grassy (and wet from the morning's rain). In the woods between the ski trails, the trail was somewhat damp. Since there was no construction today, I followed the work road to the top of the ski area, then took the Yokun Ridge Trail to Mahanna Cobble. In hindsight, I would have stuck with the hiking trail (as I subsequently read that there are stone steps in place).

Hazy north views from the top of the ski area (could see Pittsfield and Onota Lake). Unfortunately, I saw almost nothing from the Mahanna Cobble view point, as it was very hazy/misty to the southeast. I suspect this could be a nice viewpoint on a clear day. The highpoint is perhaps a couple hundred foot bushwhack above the viewpoint in open, grassy woods.

Hazy, humid afternoon with temperatures in the upper 70s. Did not see any other hikers.
