Plenty at 2:30 pm and the turnout adjacent to the trailhead was well-plowed for parking. |

Heavy ice flows at the bottom of Bolton Pond Trail require care. Amazing given the temps that several streamlets there were still marshy. |

A single black glove was left on a tree about halfway up Semulhena |

So glad we didn’t wimp out and stay home. The late day start made it warm and the trail is a packed highway perfect for spikes, so the brisk pace could further rev the engine. Minimal wind and the pinkness of the setting sun behind the silhouette of the Monadnocks escorted us home - as did a hazy yellow full moon as we neared the car. |
