Comments
Comments: The 9-mile stretch from Wachusett Inn (Rte. 2) to Rte. 9 in Ashburnham, with rocknsrolls, Caboodle the wonder dog and (for the last few miles) Dugan, who baked a wonderful batch of Caramel Pecan Bars, many of them topped with Chocolate Chips. There is an excellent shelter on the north shore of Muddy Pond, two miles south of the Rte 12 trailhead, but it was packed with a big Scout troop, camping out.
