Comments
Comments: Barefoot up to the summit in mid morning. Snowpack started at 0.9 miles and firm. Most of trail up sun came through trees, then at 3 miles denser wood and firm snow. No snow at summit, great views. Used spikes on descent as snow softened and some icky parts. Removed snowshoes after 2 miles on descent. Snow was significantly softer on the way down with the temperatures rising, Beautiful hike with outstanding views at summit. Encountered people at almost end of hike attempting with sneakers. This is a real trail with wet ground, snow, ice and some mud . Next few days will be great on the trail. I’d start early while the conditions were so favorable. Enjoy this hike, views are amazing
