Parking/Access Road Notes: Plnety of spaces on the Rte 119 Wachusett hikers lot. Not much parking on the Jewell Hill Rd. south terminus, but we had those few spaces to ourselves.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nothing major - fixed ropes for a crossing of Brown Brook near the south terminus of this stretch are conservative.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The new Midstste route is also the Watatic Trail, which goes over that summit and then heads NW over Nutting Hill and N to the NH border, a little east of the old route. Sad to say, ATV's or pick-ups have churned much of this section into thick mud, We preferred the old Trail to the wesr, by which we returned to the 119 lot.
