| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
a small (maybe would fit 10 vehicles?), but adequate (& free) parking area at the Gould Trailhead on West Mountain Road in Adams. At the end of my hike I walked past a larger, (also free) parking area at the Cheshire Harbor Trailhead (at the end of West Mountain Road) |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
water crossings have nice wooden bridges |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Gould trail appeared very well maintained. right at the beginning there is a slightly confusing point where the trail diverges and both are marked with the same blue blaze. The Cheshire Harbor Trail had standing/running water, especially just above the Cheshire/Gould cutoff trail. There's a point on the A.T. where a very temporary looking sign near the ground (paper inside a plastic sleeve) directs hikers at a junction "to Cheshire Harbor Trail Adams" - I assume this is a temporary sign until a permanent one gets put up. |
