Nice day for a double traverse of Mt. Wachusett (with a lunch stop at the festival at the ski area). Foliage is past peak, but still very pretty. Mud was mostly minor, but there were a few notable patches on Semuhenna Trail after the recent rains. Not enough to suck your shoes off of your feet, but enough to need to do some rock/stick hopping to stay dry since it was deeper than usual. All in all, we found a nice new route around the mountain and it was a great day to be out! |
