Short post-Thanksgiving jaunt close to home. With temps in the lower 40's and bright sun it was plenty warm, and the water and minor mud was not much of a nuisance. As colder temps move in, I hope it stays the same. We admired the guy in shorts and very long poles who was apparently training for something, as he did at least 3 up and downs of Mountain House while we completed our one.
Blustery at the top but that azure sky was more than worth it. A great go-to hike with a fine Monadnock/Pack and North Pack view to tide you over until a drive to the Whites is possible. |
