Parking/Access Road Notes: Nice parking area with room for a couple dozen cars. A half dozen to a dozen there between 10:45am and 12:45pm.

Bugs: They were out but didn’t seem too bad. Then again, we used bug spray.

Comments
Comments: Trail jcts are well marked with posts in the ground. Trails are marked with round risks tacked to trees: blue if heading away from the parking area, and yellow if returning. Not necessarily terribly frequent but not necessary as trails are easy to follow.

A nice hike for mom’s birthday :) We hiked the loop clockwise, as described in the guidebook. The trails are well taken care off and mostly flat with a few ups and downs. Mostly dry with just a couple areas of minor-moderate mud. Lots of birds seen. I think the guidebook underestimated the mileage on this one as it had us at 1.6mi, 50ft of gain.
