Comments
Comments: After a day of fun next door we opted to stretch our legs before the drive home. This trail (Midstate) sees a lot of action, a lot of trail creep, and a lot of erosion. There is some serious mud throughout the trail, pretty much all of it with the exception of the summit and ledges. I have a feeling this trail stays decently soft and/or muddy even without the recent rains. Our return trip post-summit and summit ledges we decided to take the more gradual Wapack route back to the parking lot. We met a group heading up, below Nutting Ledges. The thunder was rumbling but they kept going, hope it was okay!
