Comments
Comments: Interesting exploration of the Pocumtuck Range east of the Deerfield area. Cool views to valley from Pocumtuck Rock. Lots of towers near the rock. Very bucolic scenery. From the rock we continued a mile or so north on the Pocumtuck Ridge Trail to a very clear "GET OUT OF HERE" sign which is apparently the edge of a solar farm property and there is no known route through it that we could find. We retraced our steps back to car then headed north for some extra milage doing a loop up to Rices Ferry Road and back up another cart/logging road back to our car. Total mileage a bit over 4 miles with only about 400' elev gain. Decent foggy views from outlooks!!!!
