Comments
Comments: Great day for a hike with minimal problems on the flats. Frozen solid but easy to bare boot in the snow on the side of the trail.

When we hit the steep section up to the top of Round Hill the ice was to much for the dogs. I was able to get up fairly easily with Micro Spikes but the wife and three fur-kids had to wait for me. I headed up toward Frissell but turned back before getting to Frissell because the hike looked longer than I had thought it would take and I didn't want the family waiting on me in the cold. Descending was a little tough even with the spikes but I was able to bushwhack around the steepest sections.

Good hike with traction but leave the dogs at home.
