Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the trailhead for Appleton Farms off of Waldingford Rd (right at the jct with Rt 1A). Mid-sized dirt parking lot with room for over a dozen cars I believe. It was pretty full at 3pm. Lots of people seem to come here in the evening. I was one of the last ones at 6:15pm.

Comments: None (Section 3 of BCT from Appleton Farms to Willowdale State Forest)

Third hike of the day after Baker's Meadow Trail and Section 1 of the BCT. This hike finished Section 3 of the BCT for me. I hiked from Appleton Farms to what I believe was the six-way jct in Bradley Palmer State Park at which point I'd already hiked this section of the BCT from here to Willowdale State Forest. From there, I walked back to my car via what Gaia told me was the shortest line. 0.4mi east of the six-way jct, there is a 0.3mi road shown on Gaia that connects the park to Winthrop St that Gaia routed me to but at the state park boundary there were no trespassing signs so I instead walked south toward a park entrance road and walked out to Highland St. I then followed Highland St, Goodhue St, and Waldingfield St back to my car except 0.3mi west of the parking area, I took a left along a road (location not terribly accurate as shown on Gaia)and followed it to the 0.3mi connector from the parking area to the BCT that is arguably needed for redlining. I did an OAB on that and then arrived back at my car. The trails were dry and pleasant enough. Very different "hiking" than what I'm used to but I find it enjoyable :) Gaia had me at 10.5mi, 200ft of gain, 3hr6min.
