Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Spotted my car at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Andover, then had a friend who was kind enough to drive me over to the start of my hike on Middleton Rd in Boxford at the parking area for Bald Hill Reservation. The cemetery seemed to be the best place to park on the west end. Small dirt pulloff for Bald Hill with room for at least a few cars on the east end.

Comments
Comments: The usual BCT markers. Some parts better marked than others. Most jcts are not marked with signs indicating which way the BCT goes; just the small markers on trees with an arrow pointing you in the right direction.

First hike of the day. I had a friend who was kind enough to give me a car spot so I took advantage to get one of the longer sections of the BCT done. 0.1mi into the trail from the east end, there is a reroute to the left around what they say is a flooded area due to beaver activity. That being said, if you continue along the original trail (I did both) it looks like quite awhile since anything ahs been flooded: dry, dry, dry. I missed a few turns along my way so keep an eye out for the BCT markers. Note that where the BCT enters the field at Phillip's Academy, there really aren't any markings to get you across here. Go straight across the field, staying to the right of the track, toward the buildings. Go between the building and the tennis court. There was a marker on the tennis court. Trails were dry. Gaia had me at 19.5mi, 700ft of gain.
