Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked at a small-mid sized parking area (only car there at both 10:45am and 12pm) in between Field and Collins Pond. Not sure if this is the parking area the guidebook spoke of as it was a a smidgen further than a 1/2mi east of Rt 125 but and there was a trail crossing a little further west but I don't recall if there was parking there (I don't think there was). In any event, we parked at the most obvious parking area and it's shown on Gaia.

Comments
Comments: The trail is pretty well marked with red diamonds. Just make sure you follow a path with red diamonds on them at the start, then stay on it.

First hike of the day. From the parking area 0.6mi west of Rt 125, we headed south along what's shown on Gaia as Circuit Rd. This was a rather hasty decision as we just wanted to get moving after we geared up as it was so frigging cold and windy. The trail we wanted (shown but unlabelled on Gaia) was just to the west on the other side of a very small pond. The two reconnect after about a 1/4mi and we just did an OAB on the section we missed. The trails is marked well enough that it's easy to stick to the red markers despite there being any interconnected paths; you just need to make sure you're on one with red diamonds before you start and be sure you stick to it. No snow or ice really. Trails were frozen solid and dry. Ponds were partially frozen over. Would've been very pleasant in summer or on a less windy winter's day but we didn't linger too long. Gaia had us at 2.5mi, 50ft of gain, 1hr10min.
