 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked where described in the guidebook (though it's really the intersection of Berry Pond and Harold Parker roads just off of Jenkins Rd). Mid-large sized dirt lot with room for well over a dozen cars I believe. Iron ranger but it was beneath a trash bag this time of year. Likely a fee in season. I think we were the only car there at both 12:15 and 3pm. |

 | Comments: |
The trail is marked with yellow diamonds but a bit more sporadically than the other trails. I had to pay more attention to the trails and turns here. Some sharp turns on/off a main path that are easy to miss. Some more signage or double blazes could be used.
Second cold and windy hike of the day with Lil Young. We hiked the loop as described in the guidebook in a counter-clockwise direction. As noted above, some double blazes or more signage could be used in places as there's seemingly random turns on/off one path and onto another that are easy to miss; just follow the yellow diamonds carefully. Trails were dry and I don't think there was really any snow/ice on the trail at this point though I'm sure there's snow now. The ponds were not frozen over but were getting there. We were not moving quickly and stopped for a longer break or two but Gaia had us at 4.5mi, 175ft fof gain, 2hr41min. |
