Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, February 2, 2025
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small-mid sized dirt parking area on South Sandwich Rd. One other car when I arrived at 4:30pm and I was the last there at 5:45pm. 0.1mi south along South Sandwich Rd is a seasonally open road (open Memorial through Labor Day) that avoids the hike in along Red Trail so makes for a 1.4mi shorter hike. Based on where Gaia says the gate is, it looks like parking at the gate and walking in even when the road closed would be a little shorter.

Comments
Comments: Trails were blazed in their respective colors (don't recall frequency, but I think often enough) and easy to follow.

There were trail maps at all junctions with the names trails above but not with the unnamed/unofficial trails shown on the map in black.

Third and final hike of the day after redlining the trails in Myles Standish State Forest and Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary. I walked in Red Trail then hiked the loop counterclockwise doing OABs along Blue and Orange trails. This is a nice little trail system and I was sad not to be here in June when the flowers are in bloom! More snow here than in Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary but still a trace and off and on (just more on) but I'm sure it has much more now. Gaia had me at 3.6mi, 75ft of gain, 1hr10min
