Beautiful day on Mt. Tom. Hiked from Log Cabin up the New England trail to the towers. Continued another .5 miles on the ridge and cut East past the old pump station and onto the B-17 memorial before heading down Falcon ridge trail. Used microspikes the entire time and it was fine. Trails were fairly well packed out, but I would have enjoyed using my snowshoes for a bit better traction and to pack things out a bit more. |
