| | Date of Hike: | Wednesday, March 12, 2025 | | | | | Parking/Access Road Notes: | I parked at Sheepfold. Note that parking is not allowed after dark and they have signs saying that cars will be towed. Paved with room for dozens of cars. | | | | | Surface Conditions: | Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable | | | | | Recommended Equipment: | | | | | | Water Crossing Notes: | Easy | | | | | Trail Maintenance Notes: | The trail is marked with orange and I think was marked pretty frequently; not hard to follow. I believe there were trail signs at some, but not all, jcts. I do not recall any blowdowns. | | | | | Dog-Related Notes: | Dogs are welcome but must be leashed on this trail. There's a designated off leash area at Sheepfold. | | | | | Bugs: | None | | | | | Lost and Found: | None | | |

| | | | Comments: | Another post work hike. The trail was well marked and easy to follow. Trust it as it goes RIGHT behind a house. As I neared the reservoir at one point, there was some construction and trail closed signs through the trees that I was afraid were for reservoir trail but it was for another. I did not catch the name of it. Though the trail makes a circuit around the reservoir, it does not have all that many views of it though the trail itself was pleasant enough. Gaia had me at 6.7mi, 300ft of gain, 1hr54min. | | | | | Name: | Liam Cooney | | | | | E-Mail: | liamcooney96@gmail.com | | | | | Date Submitted: | 2025-03-20 | | | | | Link: | https://www.mass.gov/locations/middlesex-fells-reservation | | | | Disclaimer: Reports are not verified - conditions may vary.
