Given how wet and muddy it was when I went up just two days ago, and the storm that blew through yesterday, I am so surprised at how good these trails were today. Mountain House trail did have some mud, but was mostly avoidable. The worst of it was in the short section between the road and Bicentennial trail, the rest was avoidable by staying on the rocks which were either dry or not slippery.
Jack Frost and High Meadow trails were damp, it was clearly wet but still firm dirt.
Bicentennial trail had a bit of mud, but was minor and avoidable.
Went up for the sunrise this morning, which was gorgeous! I would've liked to spend more time on the trails today but I was hungry and have some work to do today. |
