Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: $2/person but there's no way to specify this when paying. No cash; card only. The lot was full when we arrived (no overflow parking and parking is not allowed roadside) so we had to wait a couple of minutes for people to leave. Luckily, cars were leaving pretty quickly. The paved lot has room for maybe a couple dozen cars. This was between 11am and 12pm. Still busy but a couple of open spots when we returned around 2pm.

Comments
Comments: My second time here (the last just less than a month ago) and I continue to think this is a great spot. Birders will love it as more than 220 species have been identified here. Lots of geese, swans, and ducks to eye as well (and no aggressive ones on the trail this time either!). Views are beautiful and there's lots of spots to sit and rest. Flat and easy walking with good footing. It was cool to see how much the river had receded on the north side. This was a great little Father's Day hike :) We took the Edge Trail back along the south side this time to complete the loop; nice to ix it up. About 2mi loop.
