Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I think this is one of the few properties of The Trustees where there is not a fee to use. You'll probably want to enter on Bullitt Rd to the north. To the south, the road didn't seem entirely plowed and seemed much rougher. Bathrooms are available in the facility which was open and there were room for several cars.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I don't think there were any that weren't bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There was a leaner around the bridge that I believe was at the confluence of Poland Brook and Chapel Brook. Beyond that, I don't recall any specifics about blowdowns, other than to say I think there were a number of them on Two Bridges Trail. Two Bridges Trail is evidently no longer maintained, according to a sign on the Bullitt Reservation. I think it's still marked with some sort of blue marker, though. Chapel Brook-D.A.R Trail I think was marked with white. Pebble Trail was marked with yellow. Trails were very well signed with the usual "The Trustees" reservations signs.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I think dogs are allowed but must be leashed. Didn't see any but would be good trails for them.
Bugs
Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: Last hike/redline on my way home from North Adams to finish up the trails in this area. My route: South side of Pebble Trail -- north side of Pebble Trail -- south side of Pebble Trail -- Two Bridges Trail -- Chapel Brook-DAR State Forest Trail -- West Rd -- Ludwig Rd -- Williamsburg Rd -- woods rd (shown on Gaia, just south of Two Bridges Trail) -- Chapel Falls Rd -- Main Poland Rd -- North Poland Rd -- Bullitt Rd.

Not enough snow for snowshoes at the time. I think there was only exposed ice at Chapel Brook Falls. The falls were iced over and scenic. Overall, this was a pretty flat hike, and when there was change in elevation, it was usually at easy-moderate grades. The "pebble" was a cool little feature in the Bullitt Reservation too. I didn't use microspikes, but carried them. Gaia had me at 8.8mi, about 1000ft of gain, 3hr44min, about 4mi of which was a road walk.
