Comments
Comments: Got to Saddleback around six after hike on Bigelows. Met some snow boarders who had hiked up for a run. They pointed me up Grey Ghost and Tricolor. I was in snowshoes from the lodge. All the trails still have full snow coverage. Barebooted across summit which is mostly bare. It looked bare most of the way to the Horn so I left my snowshoes and pack. There are still numerous short sections of deep snow along this section. I stayed on top as best I could, but left some major postholes here and there. Sorry. I think most of this snow will be gone this week. Hustled back to the summit of Saddleback. Light was fading fast. Walked the last of the slopes by headlamp. Gorgeous sunset over the lakes.
